I've been thinking of AGT11 as Josefina's friend Mariana.

But to be truly perfect she would need a haircut.
Very scary!!!

Any advice from someone who has cut a doll's hair - like
what you would do differently if you could do it again!!

I have decided not to do the "ear cutouts" that Mariana has
- but to try to do a level just below the ears at the front
and then the longer level at the back. I can picture it
perfectly but..... this is really scary for me and feels
SO WRONG to do this to an AG doll who I normally am
very obsessive about!!!

I am wondering if I should cut right off to the level I want
or go at it in little bits - one inch off and then another and
then another. YIKES!! Maybe I should take her to a
hairdresser!!! I can remember cutting my daughter's hair
when she was little and then it wouldn't be straight so I'd
have to cut some more and it still wouldn't be straight so
I'd cut some more and pretty soon she'd have VERY short
bangs.... but at least they grew back!!!

Should I be talked out of this... but I really want a Mariana
and who knows if AG will ever get around to making one
- and if they do she might be BLOND!!!

If you have your heart set on cutting her hair... I suggest taking her to a hairdresser who would be willing to do it... but the better suggestion might be just rewigging her. Find a wig out there, and carefully take the current wig off your doll... that way if you ever feel like going back you can always change wigs again. You will probably feel better about the second option as you can alway go back original

I cut Nancy's hair, it was not bad, it was my first dolly haircut, so it is not perfect! But it is what I wanted! I just it her hair in a ponytail and cut cut... did it.

I rewigged a doll and thought the wig was a tad long, so I took her to a hairdresser in a wig store. She was sensitive to the fact that the doll's hair would not grow out and did a fabulous job. I am super pleased with the work she did....

I recently cut my Josefina doll's hair because it bugged me that it was so uneven (because of her braid)! I think that I did I decent job, and now that her hair isn't as long, it is much more manageable. If you're really careful, you could try doing it yourself. Just make sure that you know exactly how long you want the hair to be, and make sure that you have the doll standing or sitting straight so you don't accidentally cut her hair diagonally! LOL!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">We did the same thing when I got her when she first came out. It bugged me like nothing else that her hair wasn't straight.

I also think you should take her to a hair dresser if you don't feel confidant enough to do it yourself. And bring a picture
